Bill Bagley New City Council Member

City Council chooses new member to replace Mayor Ron Liechty.

The Providence City Council has a new member. Bill Bagley will take over the seat that newly-elected Mayor Ron Liechty previously occupied.

Mayor Liechty was required to vote last night in order to break a tie when the council voted for Bagley to serve on the council for the next two years.

The other candidates were Kathy Baker, Clair Hibbard, Carrie Kirk and Lanny Herron. Bagley previously served as Vice Chairman of the Providence Planning Commission.
